Three Good Things

I thought that it would good for us to have a regular place to share the positive things, however small, in our lives. Whenever you all share positive tales, I know that I for one feel better, so I thought it might benefit others too. So, if you need a little reminder that joy can be found even on the darkest days, this is the place.

The rule is simply to list three good things that you have experienced, or will experience, today. The idea is to focus on the present rather than worrying about the future or dwelling on negative thoughts. If you are struggling through something hard remembering what you have that is good can really support you. Everyone is different, and there is no wrong answer, and nothing too insignificant to mention. Everything positive counts!

    Hi Fairycake

Your belated Christmas party sounds perfect. The tree still being there would be fun and fish and chips with no preparation or washing up couldn't be better with your family.

    That's great Daloni.xx

  • Looked out of the window when I got up and  saw a fox strolling through the garden, lighting up the path as he went.   (We have put in some cheap motion sensor, solar powered LED lights to make it easier to take food waste to our compost bin in the dark).   Nice to know we are making life easier for the wild life as well!

We went to an Opera and I wore my new jeans/leggings .  One bonus of getting old is that I feel I can enjoy wearing things that I would have been far too self conscious to wear when I was younger.

We got on  a Piccadilly line train and  found a couple of single seats.   We  were  touched when two girls offered to move so that we could sit together.  It is surprising how often this happens on buses and tubes ( people of every age, gender and colour) and  it restores one's faith in human nature.

Got home in time for Dragon's Den!

We have a  fox den  in the garden. There is a litter of cubs each year and we often see them frolicking in the sun in warmed weather.

  • Driving home late one night I saw a vixen and her three cubs in a field “dancing” in the moonlight they looked so joyful
