Three Good Things

I thought that it would good for us to have a regular place to share the positive things, however small, in our lives. Whenever you all share positive tales, I know that I for one feel better, so I thought it might benefit others too. So, if you need a little reminder that joy can be found even on the darkest days, this is the place.

The rule is simply to list three good things that you have experienced, or will experience, today. The idea is to focus on the present rather than worrying about the future or dwelling on negative thoughts. If you are struggling through something hard remembering what you have that is good can really support you. Everyone is different, and there is no wrong answer, and nothing too insignificant to mention. Everything positive counts!

  • Nevet1 I just love watching them xx

  • when I told my OH he said they were probably pouncing on poor little fieldmice and baby bunnies!

  • Started my next artwork, well actually I managed to end up with two, so clearly I need to choice, but I have just drawn them so I can paint when ever. The pastels class today was rather fun if rather messy. But my best bit of joy was watching the firecrest at the window again, the back this. Clearly it can either find food or can see its reflection, I am not sure which.

Ah, I'm sure they do that, Poppydust. But they also eat slugs. And they look as cute askittens when chasing each other and practising pouncing.. JoyJoy

  • I'm on an up week and so my three (very) good things are:

    • My scans show that my (extensive) cancer is virtually gone with the immunotherapy treatment I've been having.  Huge shock hearing that this week, I was expecting it to be worse. A tiny bit left on my peritoneal lining and one brain lump (I had 5 mets; 4 are gone!) left but hoping that can be zapped with radio.
    • I have been removed from the hospice list - we're now using words like 'aiming for remission' rather than palliative treatment - it may not last but for this week at least, I'm not considered terminal! Can't tell you how amazing this feels.
    • A friend dropped an amazing meal in this afternoon as I had treatment today and all my children ate it happily. What a treat!

Wishing good things for you all too.

    Love
