Hi ladies, It’s nearly a year since my hysterectomy. I had a three monthly checkup 3 weeks ago and everything fine. Told to use dilators twice weekly for one to two minutes. I use the next to largest. Used it this morning and afterwards there was blood on it. More dull rather than bright red. Just wondering if this is normal after all this time. Had a little blood on second time of using but nothing after that. I’m not too worried especially after having recently having a checkup but just wondered if this has happened to any of you ladies.
Take care everyone.
Sue.
Hi Sue
I have never had any bleeding but I know that it can sometimes happen especially to begin with.
It is reassuring that you have had a check up in the last month however I would be inclined to email your CNS and just mention it.
Jane
Thanks for your reply Jane.
I emailed my CNS this morning. She doesn’t seem unduly concerned. I’ve just to keep an eye on the amount of blood I lose. Was just worried as I had a cancer that has a high rate of reoccurrence and it has been almost a year since started using dilators.
Sue.
