Hello Sally
Ah yes , the endometriosis question . Does anyone have any idea just how crippling it can be unless they've experienced it ?
Your symptoms are a reminder of how my life was before I had a hysterectomy at 36 after I'd had 3 children...40 years ago. My daughter had a laparoscopy 20 years ago at a similar age for it.... she's had 2 children since .
Treatment options are improving all the time . My advice....Deal with the endometriosis, get seen by someone who takes you seriously even if you have to ask for a second opinion. Hoping you can feel very much better soon .
Zillah
Oh dear poor you
Yes , the discharge was always a problem .... I had acute pain from my first period age 11.very heavy blood loss, ghastly cramps , for 2 days of each 5 day period. Cycle every 28 days . Only relief s when pregnant ! I had an ovarian cyst 10 years back discovered by xray for diverticulitis. The first gynae said don’t worry, just leave it. No thanks
other consultants were keen to get it out ....me too. Lot of scar tissue from endo and previous surgery made it tricky , but it was cancer clear thank goodness.
My daughter was different , lighter periods with pain, but worried about fertility. They found a lot of endo on one ovary which they cleared and she went on to have 2 lovely boys .... and now she's going through menopause .... and she's having very odd periods .
A woman's lot .....
