Hi all,
I have just been told that my outlook is better than first thought and I am now being offered five weeks of radiotherapy after chemo (I had my last one on 22 Feb).
Would be interested to hear of others experience of radiotherapy, side effects etc and how long they last. I have a trip booked for 25 April so the radiotherapy will probably start after that - I am seeing the clinical oncologist on Friday. Obviously, I will postpone the trip if he advises radiotherapy needs to start sooner. I have another trip booked for July. Just wondering if this trip will be doable in any of your experiences.
Thanks in advance.
Debbie
Hi I have read your bio you really have been on the proverbial rollercoasters. There is a thread on page 2 started by MarmiteFan59 it is very informative and gives loads of tips and advice. I can’t realty give any advice yet as my sessions don’t start until next week. Enjoy your trips and good fortune for the future
Thank you so much, I will look at it now. Good luck with your sessions. I have read your bio and you have a lot to deal with. Wishing you and your husband best wishes. x

Hi Debbie

Zebralynn, just to say that I had no side effects at all till halfway through week 4 when I just had a bit of bloating and occasional urgency, but no diarrhoea and no bladder issues.
Thanks Zebraylynn/Debbie - it's funny but there are a few Debbies on here, it's the age group I think
I have been told that my last CT scan showed no cancer, just some stranding which they think is my diverticular, this is why I think I will suffer with the radiotherapy but we will see. I am just glad I am being offered it as it wasn't an option initially. Good luck with your treatment too x
