Hello ladies,
I hope that you are all as well as you can be
Today I read an article in the Sunday paper, about a new drug for endometrial cancer,so just thought I would post on here. It is called Dosterlimab. Studies show that used with chemo can keep the disease at bay for at least 2years.The article can be found in the Sunday Mail.
I dont come on here much now,but I was diagnosed in 2015,with stage 1b.
Unfortunately at the same time it was discovered that I also had high grade serous ovarian cancer which I am still trying to fight. I have had 2 recurrences and at present on watch and wait.

Hello Georgette
Thank you for sharing this. It is always useful to hear of any potential treatments.
I will pop a link below with some more information on this treatment.

Hi Georgette
Thanks for the information. I just wanted to point out that immunotherapy, which this drug is, is not suitable for all types of endometrial cancer. It is best to check with your own medical team.
It depends on blood results - mis match repair (MMR). I don't fully understand it but it is to do with DNA and cells. I am writing from personal experience as my cancer is not responsive to DNA or hormonal treatment and chemo is my only line of treatment.
Best regards Georgette

Hi Georgette and all the ladies on here, it is really interesting and exciting, to a point, when we hear of new drugs, as I'm sure most of us on here would try anything, if it could help in some way.
Back in August, after a failed clinical trial for endometrial cancer, which has spread to my peritoneum, I started a new dual combination treatment using infusion and tablets. I think it is a new appach of using them together, but also for this particular type of cancer. Back in March, I was told there was nothing available for me other than the trial. Anyway, as I said earlier, the trial failed and after a few weeks in limbo, I was offered Pembrolizumab with Lenvatinib, immunotherapy. It's still early days and I'm due to have my first scan next week to see how things are going. The usual scanxiety will kick in about a week after the scan, but I'm really hopeful that it is doing some good.
I think the criteria for me was to have had two other treatments that had failed. Not sure if this would be the same for everyone.
Wishing you all the best.

It’s good to hear this and to know there might be other options for those of us with aggressive endometrial cancers. Mine is Serous. It came back after 4 years, in my peritoneum and a tiny bit in my lungs. I’ve had 6 cycles of Carbotaxel combo earlier this year, with excellent effect. Shrank the tumours and CA markers dropped to 48 from almost 5,000. So happy. However, mid September it started to give me pain again and now markers are up to 400.
Oncologist has offered me Pembrolizumab and Lenvatinib combo. I’m deciding (if it’s appropriate for me that is) while waiting for further scan to see if it’s spread.
Sorry to hear your markers are high again so soon. Fingers crossed that the new drugs are suitable. Best wishes for your scan results.
