Dear All

I hope you are all well

As you know I’ve been on this forum for a few months because my mummy is battling a recurrence of endometrial which has spread to her pelvic lymph nodes and para ortic lymph nodes.

she’s completed 6 cycles of chemo and today received her scan results.   I’m extremely pleased to say that the chemo seems to have worked!  The lymph nodes have shrunk to a normal size and we are Pray tone2so relieved Pray tone2Pray tone2Pray tone2Pray tone2

Mums continuing on the immunotherapy trial for two years and I’m desperately hoping the chemo has literally killed the nasty buggers and the chemo will help keep it all at bay indefinitely…

i just wanted to share this news with you all to give hope to anyone in a similar position.  There is hope and our doctors /nurses / researchers do such an invaluable job in keeping us all going.   Where would we be without them?   Above all I’m thankful to god for his/her kindness .

Last but definitely not least I want to thank you all for holding my hand, giving me hope and words of encouragement   I COULD NOT DO THIS WITHOUT YOU.  I have a young family, demanding job (very Pray tone2 caring husband thank goodnessPray tone2)and am the eldest of three daughters so naturally feel I have to put on a brave front for my parents and sisters… I can’t put into words how useful this forum and your comforting words have been to me and have kept me going …  I googled like crazy often resulting in sleepless night and tears and thank you Barbs and Little Lamb for tactfully telling me not to google!   You were so right xx

i will stay on the forum so that I can keep you all updated and share info

Love to you all xxxxx

  • Lucki2021, what a lovely message thank you x

  • Hi Lucki,

Although I haven't replied to you because I have no relevant experience, I have read your posts. So pleased for you and your Mum at her good news. Its always nice to get an upbeat story on here. Its got to encourage others. Please wish your Mum well. xxxx

  • Thank you.  Read your profile.  You got this! Superwoman xxx lots of love xxxx

  • Hi . What wonderful news, I'm so delighted for you both. Also good to hear she'll be on the immunotherapy trial for another couple of years.

I get so mad when I hear anyone criticise our wonderful NHS, until this time last year I'd not had many dealings with them but their dedication and expertise is second to none.

As for this forum, it was an absolute rock to cling to when I needed it. Not being much of a social media type person I didn't realise how valuable joining a forum such as this could be and I count the members here as friends forever.

Sending you both the biggest hugs, Barb xx

Luckj, I am so happy to hear your news about your mum. Hallelujah. You and your family have been in my thoughts and prayers, particularly as your mu m. and I shared the same tria!. You have given me a reason to skip again(can't bounce at the moment). You go ahead and live your lives freed from the worry of this pesky invader, enjoy every moment and make lots of happy memories. Glad to hear you will be staying th the site too. Experience, journeys are invaluable to us all no matter if those are short trips or longer more complicated tours..your support and that of others is invaluable to us all(Gosh, sound like Hughie Green now for those who remember him( opportunity knocks!)..must be all the drugs!) Take care, God Bless. Love Lamb.xx   PS..I'm still about folks..finally discovered what that little bugger has been up to and got so cross I fell headfirst into the Ditch and couldn't get out on my own. Needed two  beefy ambulance apparently and the Nhs to extract and repair me! Will update in a few days cos only released back to the pen yesterday. Just be a good Lamb now( but that's boring !) XXxx

  • . Oh Lamb, you do make me laugh, can't wait for the next instalment! I never like Hughie Green, he was a bit creepy, much preferred Michael Miles with "Take your Pick - open the box!!"

    Hugs, Barb xx
