Hi all
I’ve had my surgery today took four hours but they managed keyhole which is a relief. No bed in the gynae oncology ward so I am in Breast Cancer ward side room, which is same ward my mum was in 31 years ago. Hoping I will be allowed home tomorrow, Ive got a bit of a temp and no fans because of covid, so anyone going in soon, take a hand fan! My BP is low as well which is unheard of for me so trying to drink water, which means I then have to go to toilet, which is painful Feel like I’ve been run through the mill but I am here to tell the tale, onwards and upwards now 4.5 weeks to daughters (very small) wedding and family gathering in garden afterwards,

Hi Lizz,
glad to hear from you and that all went well. Take it easy and keep comfortable.
all good wishes for a gentle recovery.

Hi Lizz, So pleased for you that the surgery is over and they managed to do keyhole. It’s amazing how much of a relief you feel when you’re told that. Probably because it means a shorter stay in hospital (all going well) and a shorter recovery period. You take it easy, don’t rush things and definitely no heavy lifting. All going well you’ll be in fine health for your daughters big day. I hope it all goes well for you.
Take Care
Angie
Thanks Angie! Still wide awake so looking for a mask to swear for the wedding! Very hot still.
Thanks! Hopefully home tomorrow(well today-it’s 3am) just had obs and some morphine.
Hi Lizz
Great to read surgery is over and done by keyhole. much quicker for healing but when you get home take it easy and don't overdo things. I avoided bending and lifting but tried to walk a bit each day.
Onwards and upwards, how's the mask hunting going?
Sending hugs, Barb xx

Mask ordered from Etsy. Doc just been happy for me to go home but on heparin for three weeks soI am waiting for pharmacy then be discharged. Dreading the ride home wit’s all the speed humps! Then four weeks wait to see if I need radiotherapy.
I had exactly the same problem waiting for the pharmacy to get their bag of goodies together (All 21 items)
Hope whoever collects you brings a pillow to protect your tummy for the ride home.
Sending hugs, Barb x
