I am nearly 4 weeks post abdominal Hysterectomy. I started having some very light pink spotting on and off from around two weeks post op but this morning I am bleeding a little heavier. It is bright red blood on the tissue. Did anyone else experience this so long after their operation? I will ring my CNS in the morning. I am panicking a little that there is something wrong.
Hi Bella H. I think we've all had this - it's the scar tissue healing. Give your CNS a call in the morning for reassurance - she'll get you in for examination if necessary.

Hi Bella,
This happened to me, I rang the ward and the consultant called me back. Said it was probably one of the stitches that had dissolved a bit too quickly. I had probably been over doing it a bit, It all settled and my recovery was uneventful.
