Hi, I am due to have excision surgery tomorrow 21st Oct for VIN3, i have had lichen s for a few years & it has developed into VIN. I wasn't tested for HPV for some reason maybe because of my age 61 & being post meno. I am staying in overnight because i live some distance from the hospital & surgeon suggested this. I have a sitz bath for the loo & already use one of those squirty bottles when using the loo, i also have bought a good quality cushion with the hole in. If anyone has had this surgery or can give me any tips i would be very grateful. Thanks.
Jan, I don’t post on here anymore but wanted to know I’m so sorry you are going through this. Please look at a post from myself with a name similar to Lisa’s Tips. Also with your age you more than likely don’t have HPV your VIN can be from your LS. I’d send you the info of the difference but admin deletes all my pictures. Please try to look up something like HPV vin difference or vs Lichen Sclerosis vin. Please take care, move slow and trust that you got this!
