I am wondering if anyone else has had sweats not sure if you call it hot flushes
I had a radical left vulvatomy plus sentinel nodes removed in January 2018 then had further surgery to remove the lymph nodes in April 2018 then an abscess in June 2018
I have for at least the last year been getting these sweats I usually am normally a cold person but I can wake up & sweat running down my chest & I can even have it during the day
I am 65 in a couple of months so not in the change & even had a hysterectomy when 27
& never had them before I got cancer am just wondering if this is something anyone else has had
Best Wishes
Hi Searchfamilies,
I have night and day sweats now all the time however its not like it was before treatment when I were changing twice, mostly at night time. It can be not your case I'm 46 and in induced menopause. (This is doctors explanation for my sweats, but who knows what this is really are)
I had 2 surgeries - wide local excision ,radio and chemo treatment after surgeries to pelvic and both groins. Finished 21st of Aug'18.
Lymph nodes not removed even I had cancer there.
I'm still in pain in groin area it swallowing time to time and when I massaging this area I've got sweats.
I've noticed sweats are worse when I'm stressing or nervous.
Try to relax and see if it will make any difference.
All the Best
Hi VJ020
I can't say whey I get it I will mention it when I go for my check-up on Monday
If I had chemo or/& radio then I would have said it was that
I do wonder if it is because of having the lymph nodes removed
I still struggle with groin ect but I did have a abscess which had me in hospital for 5-6 days & 2 & half months before I stopped having it treated
I don't find that's I get it when stressed but if my bowels or stomach is playing up then I get it all the more
Wishing You All The Best
Hi VJ020
I have just had my check-up & nothing to worry about do have some cream which i was given a while ago for the itchiness I use it once a week
Anyway i asked about the sweats & she said that having the lymph nodes removed don't help it can cause a bit of a hormone change or thyroid or other autoimmune any of that can cause it
I do have meds for my thyroid so will see my GP to get blood test
So maybe you should see your GP & get them to do a full blood test it can't hurt even if it's nothing to do with that but if you are in your change with having the lymph nodes will make changes
Best Wishes
