Waiting on biopsy results

I would give the consultant secretary a ring to chase the results. They can email the lab and find out what the hold up is.

Hi

i had biopsies 5 weeks ago today.  I was told results would be 4-6 weeks.  I did think it might be sooner rather than later as they haven’t been doing many biopsies due to the pandemic. I was waiting since January.  I guess I was wrong!  My view currently is no news is good news, so I shouldn’t worry too much.  I know it’s a pain waiting but if the results were in and there was any issue they’d have been in touch, it might just be your consultant is quite busy.  Take care. 

Thank you, how do they normal give you the results ?

Most consultants are ringing their patients but you should get an appointment slot so you know when to expect the call. Did you call the secretary?

Okay thank you and I did tried to phone and couldn’t get through so will wait a couple of days and try again
