So a year has gone, operation, chemo, blood clots, shingles & radiotherapy & I’m still here! ready for my next mammogram & zoledronic acid.
I wrote a couple of poems one to myself for my 68th birthday & one for a friend who is going through breast cancer treatment too
i can’t seem to post the other poem ️.
Love your poems and your sense of humour. Sounds like you have a positive attitude which must help.I had surgery 3 days before my 66th birthday in June and really hoping I feel as positive as you on my next birthday. No chemo for me but a mastectomy and radiotherapy and still struggling with pain and tightness across chest. Nothing gives me relief and it seems to be getting worse. I have a bone scan booked for next week. Fingers crossed! Xx
Thank you Beth - it’s sounds tough what you’ve been through & I’m sure you’ll begin to feel better soon. Two oncologist told me a positive attitude really helps recovery. I think it’s ok to feel down sometimes, but be brave, strong & amazing as I’m sure you are. Good luck with your bone scan
Thank yougood luck with the rest of your journey x
