Hi Guys
can I ask if anyone has had surgery first ? I have been told yesterday afternoon that I’m having it first !! That’s because I meet the criteria !! Cos the lump is small even though I’m grade 3 TN !!
Hi Bonnie,
Im grade 3 TN too - I understand your scared feelings. I was diagnosed a couple of days before christmas and it was a whirl wind for a while but I felt better once treatment started and I think you will too. Im having chemo first whilst genetics are done and then surgery after. Ive had three rounds of EC and moving on to Paclitaxel/carboplatin in a few weeks. Side effects have been ok for me and i used the cold cap and so far have retained my hair!
We are all here for you Bonnie so feel free to ask questions. My lump is also small and has responded well to the three rounds of chemo - my scan showed a good shrinkage.
You can do this

Hi Bonnie Boo
Im also TN. I was diagnosed on 21/3 with 1.5cm tumour and had operation on 3/4 to remove it and sentinel lymph nodes. Didn’t find out til yesterday that I’m triple neg. Now waiting for op results on 25/4 but have been told will need chemo likely starting beginning of June.
I think they do op first if it’s small. Then type of treatment after depends on receptor type.
Try not to worry about the operation - it’s really not too bad and I’m 9 days past mine and other than a little soreness/tenderness physically ok. Just worrying about next bit now!

Hi Rok
Thanks for that , you have had been sorted quick with surgery , I hope I get mine soon .
Good luck with the next part of your journey x
Thanks has anyone had pain in their arm pit before treatment !! Someone said it might be my lymph nodes fighting the cancer ?
I had that. My BCN said it was due to the biopsy messing with your nerves in that area x
It’s only just started the last couple of days , I have been so stressed with everything I feel that I have been run over by a bus !!
Not sleeping well at all pain in neck and shoulders !! Feeling sick !! Trying to remain upbeat and positive but god it’s hard
Thanks , glad your treatment is going well lots of luck to you x
I understand what you mean totally. This stage is so stressful just waiting for things to begin. Im trying to be positive and listen to the people further down the track who say it gets easier once you’re on a treatment plan xx
