can I ask if anyone has had surgery first ? I have been told yesterday afternoon that I’m having it first !! That’s because I meet the criteria !! Cos the lump is small even though I’m grade 3 TN !!

Yes, I had surgery first (lumpectomy) followed by chemotherapy and radiotherapy. My lump was also a small, grade 3 TNBC.

I was diagnosed at the beginning of April last year and had my surgery at the end of that month. Three weeks later I had the results from my surgery and saw my oncologist at the beginning of June. Chemotherapy started in the first week of July, although it should have been the week before but my bloods weren't right.

It's natural to be scared Bonnie Boo but it's all perfectly doable. Your hospital team will take good care of you and if there's anything you want to ask me about your upcoming surgery I'll do my best to answer

I didn't have any form of scan, either before or after surgery, but I'm due my first mammogram since finishing treatment in a couple of weeks time.
