Hi, I’m new to this group and still finding it strange being here. I was diagnosed with grade 3 TNBC following a routine mammogram and although the lump was only 6 mms and has been removed with clear margins and no node involvement I feel that I have no option but to  undergo chemotherapy before radiotherapy to give myself the best chance of getting the telegram from the queen (or probably a king by then)!
I had my first chemo of Docetaxel and Carboplatin yesterday. So far feeling remarkably good although can’t stop peeing due to the amount of water I’m drinking! When do I expect things to hit me, another of those waiting games I suppose?

    Hi

Sorry you had to find us but you will soon find it helps loads being here.

With Docetaxel you get a 2-3 day honeymoon period before it fully gets into your system so be prepared to find you ache all over tomorrow into Monday.  If you have anything you need to get done maybe today is your chance while you still feel ok.

There is a regular chemo chat discussion in the main breast group you joined - It would help you if you checked it out and asked any chemo related questions there where everyone having (or has had) chemo support each other.

You can find the November Chemo Chat clicking here. There is a tips link in the very first message.

Did you buy anything in advance like constipation and diarrhoea meds, digital thermometer, Ibuprofen, paracetamol, pineapple cubes or ginger biscuits ?

Thanks for your help, I’m still finding my way round this useful site. Yes, I think I have bought all those in preparation!
