Hi,
I am looking to see if anyone else is going through or has been through similar experience.
I have a single Thy3a nodule with follicular features which I am waiting for further tests on. I opted to watch and wait and repeat the FNA rather than have the operation at the moment, self employed and cannot take the time off in run up to Christmas was one factor in this.
However the more I read about cancer rates with this result, the more anxious I am that I made the incorrect decision. But then a friend had a total thyroidectomy not for cancer last year and has had a horrible time since.
Has anyone else had a indeterminate nodule, if so what was your outcome.
Hi J221211 and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
Although I'm not a member of this group, as I have a different type of cancer, I noticed that your post hadn't had any replies yet.
I did a search in the group for previous posts which mention 'indeterminate nodule' and found these for you to have a look through.
Could you arrange to have a further chat with your consultant to talk through your concerns about the watch and wait option you've chosen to make sure that you still feel this is the correct one for you?
Wishing you all the best
x
