Hi!
I’m Mike, I’m in my mid-40’s and I was initially diagnosed with a thyroglossal duct cyst which was “suspicious for cancer” back in 2017/2018. To cut a long story short I was advised to not only have the potentially cancerous cyst removed but also to have my thyroid removed with the cyst having formed from thyroid tissue, therefore my thyroid was deemed potentially cancerous despite scans being clear.
Having undergone the removal of the cyst and thyroid both were biopsied post-surgery, and malignant tumours were discovered in both.
i underwent RAI after the surgery and am currently taking 275mcg levothyroxine daily as my last two blood tests showed levels outside of the preferred ranges.
I will try to be active on this forum when other commitments permit, so please don’t be offended if I take a while to respond.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
