Hi I'm new to this group. I found a lump around a month ago in my clavicle and went to see the gp. He referred me to an ENT specialist who sent me for a scan.
The lump on the clavicle was fine but on my thyroid they found a 1.9cm lump that looked suspicious
Had my biopsy Wednesday 28th and still waiting for the results
I am struggling with stress over this and have gone on sick from my job as a senior carer in a residential home
Hi Sac72 and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
Waiting for the results of tests can be a very stressful time. I found what helped me was keeping busy doing things that I enjoyed. Do you have any hobbies or interests that you could indulge in?
Lots of people find mindfulness really useful and, if this is something that interests you, clicking here will take you to the NHS page about it.
Sending a virtual (((hug)))
Hi @Sac72 sorry to hear you are struggling with stress, it's not surprising and we have all been there, stressed out waiting for results. If it puts your mind at rest I had a CT scan with contrast dye following Ultrasound and biopsy previously, then had an appointment for 2 weeks after the CT scan. The following day they telephoned me to ask me to come in, in 2 days time, which was like a red flag to me that something was the matter. If you are still waiting then try and think that no news is good news, and I wish you all the best for a good result.
