Thanks for that clarification. Sounds like life's throwing a lot of challenges your way at the moment.

Ultrasound is usually the first step and will be used to decide whether you need to have a Fine Needle biopsy. In some hospitals, that biopsy can be done at the same time, often it's not. I never actually had an ultrasound because my lump was so enormous that it had to be operated on regardless of what it turned out to be.

The needle biopsy isn't always conclusive, but let's see what happens next for you and if you come back with the results, we'll try to help with the next steps (if any). 

I really appreciate your advice and kind words. I will let you know how I get on. I am not so much worried about the procedure but obviously concerned regarding the results.
