Hi everyone! Its night time...and as usual my brain goes into overdrive. I had fna on 3 of my 6 nodules 6 weeks ago, and I still haven't had any results back. Is this normal? Is this bad news?
Thank you.
Hi Janet E I doubt it means it's bad news, if it was they would more likely contact you sooner rather than later. It could be that it just takes your particular hospital that long or maybe it's an admin or computer problem causing the delay.
Were you told how long it would take?
I would contact your doctor and chase this in case it's somehow been forgotten or misplaced.
Hi. Thanks for getting in touch. I was told 7-10 days. My GP also hasn't heard anything. I can't get through to my consultant's secretary and I have left multiple voicemails. X
Janet E I wonder if it has anything to do with being short staffed because of delays. What does your GP suggest you do and is it possible just to physically turn up at your consultant's place of work and insist on getting an answer from someone. 6 weeks is a long time to be kept waiting especially when you don't know how much longer you will need to wait. If they told you it would be another 2 weeks that would be easier than not knowing.
Janet EFailing the above if it's financially an option for you then maybe get it done again privately. You shouldn't have to but the delays in everything at the moment can be ridiculous.
