Hello this is my first post in any forum ever so please excuse me if I get the etiquette wrong. I will genuinely be grateful for any help and will try to support anyone who reaches out to me.
I had thyroid removed and radio active iodine 5 years ago due to papillary cancer. Recovery was slow but complete within 2 years, I have managed to get back to normal BMI range and exercise regularly.
I had my first follow up ultrasound last week and was told that there is calcification and I would have to speak to a specialist which is where I am now waiting. I will explain I am not in UK and the health care is good but you don't have access to support between appointments. I just wondered if anyone has had this problem and what if any treatment is likely. Tia

I don't have the experience you're after but I noticed that your post hadn't had any replies yet. I'm sure someone will be along soon but in the meantime if you type 'calcification' into the group's search bar at the top of the page, you'll find a number of previous posts on this topic which you could have a look through.
