Hi All
New to this type of thing after recently having had a diagnosis of Papillary Thyroid Cancer. 2 Doctors, 1 dentist, 2 consultants, 2 ultra sounds and an mri indicated a harmless cyst. They then opened me up and removed the cancerous tumour. Came as one hell of a shock.
Was initially told that I would require a full thyroidectomy which resulted in all sorts of emotional challenge for me and my wife. I was then told after a further ultrasound and multi disciplinary meeting that there was no need to operate and that, for now, it will be better to keep me under review.
I now have another ultrasound in august and a consultation in September. Is this something to worry about ?
Does anybody have a similar experience
Thanks peeps
