Hi all

I was diagnosed with Thyroid cancer in December 2020 just before Christmas. I'm a 44 year old male. I have had 2 operations. Hemityroidectomy on right side and then completion thyroidectomy 3 weeks ago. I am now awaiting appointment for radioactive iodine treatment. If you have any questions then please feel free to ask

  • Hi Bob

I also had my diagnosis in December 2020 but that was after my right side hemi as biopsies were inconclusive. Had completion in August and RAI in October. I was probably more worried about RAI than completion surgery but it was much easier than I expected and I have been well supported by a nurse specialist. Wishing you all the best for the next stage of your treatment.
