Hi
I was just wondering if anyone felt the same. I had my surgeries ten months ago to remove my thyroid due to Papillary Cancer, I am finding that people try to understand when I have a down day but struggle as they expect me to be absolutely fine and back to my normal self.
Hello Mary (Maryp22813a31 (dfa34256e202456f83fed875f985fac5))
I understand just where you are at with this - the problem is only people with a cancer diagnosis can truly understand. It's almost like a bond we have as you have "been there - done that.
I am still being treated for cancer, and my treatment will be lifelong, but I can imagine that one you have reached the end of treatment and you are on a "curative pathway" there's always the worry that it may come back.
You may find some support if you join this group
as others know just where you are. Just click on the link I have provided and you can then post in that group for some support.
I wish you well moving forward.
Best wishes - Brian.
