Ive had my TSH checked for medication purposes. I’ve had the dreaded text from the GP about having to call them, this is normal because my TSH is outside of the normal range, but then I spottEd this lower down and now I’m panicking. It’s not the TSH that should be undetectable is it, its Tg isn’t it which as far as I’m aware, I’ve not been tested for.
I also had follicular thyroid cancer and RAI. My oncologist was usually pleased when my Thyroglobulin level was virtually undetectable. As I was being discharged from oncology a month ago the oncologist did say that the guidelines on TSH suppression were being changed. You should certainly challenge this report.
