Hi,
I'm hoping someone can help, will obviously be contacting the powers that be tomorrow but I'm sure I'm not the only one awake at stupid o'clock pondering about something..
So I'm booked in for CT scan this Tuesday to check for spread in my chest. My RAI has been booked in for two weeks on Wednesday (22nd)
The CT scan used contrast dye and from what I can work out is Iodine based. Should I be having RAI so soon after a big old dose of Iodine? Has anyone else come across this?
Thanks for reading
I had an MRI with contrast before my hemi and a CT scan with no contrast between the two operations. The contrast used for the first scan was Gadolinium.
IF you were given an iodine contrast, then that was probably a mistake. Whoever ordered the scan should mark up the paperwork to specify no iodine.
But all you can do at this stage is check with the doctors.
Best wishes
Barbara
