Hi all my online friends!
can anyone help me with my thyroglobulin text results please? My recent results showed an increase to over 22. Normal 0-20.
also my tsh has increased to 3.4 from 0.4. I had my second surgery last August to take out remaining thyroid out. So no thyroid. Surgery due to follicular cancer.
thank you all for being there.
best wishes and keep safe and well everyone
jo
I’m honestly not an expert and still at the start of my journey but I am about to have radioiodine and one of the reasons is so that all thyroid tissue is ablated so that the thyroglobulin will be 0 and can be monitored effectively in the future. If you still have part of your thyroid then I imagine the thyroglobulin levels aren’t representative unless there are a number of results all trending upwards. I imagine normal levels fluctuate naturally.
