Hi I just wondered how often others are getting thyroid function test done in first year after full thyroidectomy I had surgery last July had 2 stable test in October and end of November. I've been discharged from hospital but gp has not told me anything just wondered if I should be having another test by now. Also had boarderline calcium levels and gp put no further action. Surely thyroid should be checked again as only in first year.
Hello. If your last test was 6 months ago I would push for a test. My levels bounced around a bit so I was tested 8 weeks after each change in levothyroxine dose.
Yes it's 6 months this week. I'm going do thyroid review econsult next week see what they say. Don't have any symptoms of such just get knee ache occasionally and a bit tired. Just wondered because I guess it can change.
Hi just seen blood test results tsh levels In range at 1.1 but they put boarderline for some reason. Calcium too low says on nhs app need to speak to gp but no one has contacted me yet.
