Does anyone know what's the normal amount of uptake after an RAI?
Hello again Disneydoll,
There isn't a normal amount as such, and very rarely is anyone actually given a number as it means nothing to a lay person like us. What's more usual is that if there has been uptake, they tell you where and if it's of concern.
Uptake in the neck where the thyroid used to be is very common, because it's impossible for surgeons to remove every single cell of thyroid tissue during the operation.
Why are you asking?
Lass
Xx
