Hiya,

I just found this forum yesterday and after a recommendation to join this group I tootled over. I love how much information and support there is so I thought I’d come and say “hello”.

I’m a 30-year old lady (so I like to kid myself!) and I recently found a lump on my neck consistent with a thyroid related problem (moves when swallowing etc). Bloods are all within the normal range and, after a referral to ENT, a camera down the nose seems to show nothing of concern.

I’m now waiting for an appointment date for a scan and FNA.. the lump is quite hard and visible from a distance (it’s at least 3cmx3cm).  Praying for speedy test results once it’s done and a benign result - after reading the positive stories here I’m hopeful of the outcome.

Has anyone else experienced weird tingling in their arms? And then sometimes they feel really heavy... maybe it’s in my head.

All the best

  • Hey there

Welcome to the forum, thugh I'm sorry you need to be here! I'm glad to see you've read through some things and are liking what you're seeing! Sorry it's taken me a while to reply to you, but I've been having some issues!

Weird tingling in your arms and them feeling heavy sounds like a nerve issue. Are you holding yourself in a weird/different way to normal because you're aware of the lump? Or have you been sleeping in funny positions?

it doesn't sound like anything I've heard of regarding the thyroid, so might just be worth a mention to the GP next time you're there if it's still an issue.

Hope everything else is going well for you and you're otherwise feeling ok about everything. You've found us now, so any questions - no matter how silly you think they might sound - please do ask them. There's probably more than one person here who has thought the exact same thing somewhere down the line, so you're def not alone!

    Lass

    xx
