Hello all.

I had surgery on Monday for the completion thyroidectomy after my first surgery in November found the tall cell varient. The surgery seemed successful and I am home now recovering but I am finding this recovery harder than after the November surgery, I am so tired and falling asleep during the day and have no appetite.

I am worried about next steps, the surgeon mentioned radioactive iodine treatment and an appointment with the oncologist whilst I was in hospital but I know we are waiting on pathology of Monday's surgery.

I feel so overwhelmed and exhausted by this diagnosis and I have concerns about work, I have another week off but I am self employed so I absolutely have to go back to work in a weeks time. The pressure feels huge to get back to normal but with trying to navigate this cancer diagnosis which I am told is an aggressive rare varient.

Thanks for reading!
