What are the chances of a stage 2b pure seminoma spreading to brain? My husband has been getting headaches lately. He is almost done with BEPx3. He needs one more bleo. Can chemo cause headaches? We are nervous
Hi Violet,
Yes chemo can cause headaches. My husband usually had them the first week after each cycle. After the chemo finished ( as of end of April) he had what he described as the feeling of worms running through his head just above his nose. I think it is all nerve endings being affected.
Hope this helps.
Take care.
Hi violet,
TC ultimately does get to the brain. But pure seminoma spreading during chemo ? Nope, very, very, very unlikely. Seminoma responds so well to chemo, hence the survival rates, that growth/ spread during chemo just does not happen.
Side effects of chemo are extremely wide. Way more chance it’s a side effect than spread.
relax, treatment nearly done, strength and power soon to return.
take care
dan
