Hi fellas, firstly let me say how much I admire your strength in dealing with all the cr*p you must be going through, you are all champions.

I come asking for some advice and support, I don't have cancer, but I have lived with chronic orchialgia (testicle pain both sides) for 15 years with no known cause. The pain radiates down my legs and into my feet, my quality of life is rubbish as the pain is debilitating, the pain has become worst as they years have gone by.

I have under gone nerve blocks and a varicocelectomy in the past which have made no difference, I have also undergone a right side orchiectomy, sadly none of these procedures have worked, I still get pain in my scrotum, legs, feet and in my remaining left testicle.

I am considering having the remaining left testicle removed along with the whole scrotum and skin, my scrotal skin may be the pain trigger, we just don't know.

My question to you guys is... have any of you lost both testicles, and what should I expect ?

What is life like with no balls and being on TRT ?

  • Hi  and a warm welcome to the Macmillan Online Community but sorry that you needed to find us and I am especially sorry to hear about your diagnosis.

I recently became a Community Champion and was spending time looking over older posts on different forums, came across yours and was upset to see it hadn't been answered. For that I sincerely apologise, very few posts escape our eagle eyes but yours fell through the net. By answering now you'll be "bumped up" to the top of the posts so should get an answer very soon.

Although I obviously had a different type of cancer, any cancer diagnosis brings many questions, lots of confusion and stress but talking with other people who are on the same type of journey will help you navigate this rollercoaster.

The Community is organised into dedicated support groups so can I see you have joined our supportive Testicular cancer group, this will be a good place to connect with others navigating the same type of cancer journey.

When you have a minute, it would be great if you could pop something about your journey so far into your profile as it really helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time.

It’s always good to talk and the Macmillan Support Services provides lots of information, support, financial guidance or just a listening ear.

Most services are open 8am to 8pm, 7 days a week and it's free to call on 0808 808 00 00 have a look by Clicking here to see what is available and we also have our Ask an Expert section, but do allow two working days for replies from our expert team.

    Sending you welcoming hugs Bx
