Hey new here, my dads been diagnosed with stage 4 stomach cancer he has horrendous sickness his been given 3 different anti sickness medications that don’t seem to be helping much does anyone have any tips on helping? Also he has chronic shoulder pain in with extremely strong pain killers aren’t touching it so any tips would be highly appreciated.
Hi, sorry to hear about your dad! I had to go on a anti sickness drive for a few days in hospital then I was given the equivalent treatment in tablet form but that was due to chemotherapy…
Just keep trying to find alternatives for him, either with his GP or his medical team as he needs comfort.
Take care.
Michele
Hello, thank you for your reply. Yes of course family members feel so helpless as they isn’t much we can do but try be there and comfort him. Absolutely will contact nurses in the morning. His been offered chemotherapy, surgery unfortunately wasn’t an option. We just need these symptoms under control a bit more so he can start the treatment.
sending you the most strength in you’re journey

Hi I have also recently been diagnosed stage 4 SRC stomach cancer, I found that coffee and dairy can irritate the stomach and cause some nausea, warm water and ginger is what I use to settle anything like that. The pain in the shoulder a hot water bottle and the pain killers might help but it is hard work. I wish you and him all the best and hope it all gets sorted.
