NHS PATIENT
My partner has had 6 cycles of OXCAP chemotherapy.
His cancer has shrunk over 75%.
He was diagnosed is stomach cancer - spread to liver and lymph nodes. His doctor is saying he will not continue the chemotherapy as in there eyes, they have ticked the box of palliative chemotherapy and we will just wait and see what happens and give him chemotherapy if it was to grow again. He is 28 years old and this is not the response we were both expecting! He is fit, healthy and active!
Has anyone else been in this position?
Do we push for further OXCAP because it has had such an amazing response. Do we look into FLOT? Do we look into an alternative method?
Thank you
Hi EOXS. I just dropped by and noticed you've had no replies to your post just yet. I'm sorry I can't help as I've not had Chemo but by replying here It will "Bump" your message back to the top. (If you see what I mean)
It might help if you Ask a Nurse here but you should allow a couple of days for an answer.
All the best, B x
