Diagnosed

I’m so sorry to hear about your diagnosis, and can only imagine what a tough time this is for you and your family.  There are others in this group who have had similar diagnosis and are incurable but treatable.  So hold on to the hope that the chemo will help!  
Others have also got a second opinion and explored all the options.  I think you might find the posts by SDH  of interest.  She did a great deal of research.  
Knowledge does help you get some control back and focusing on your physical and mental health is also helpful.

Thank you I’ve calmed down a lot now my mind went thru all nightmare scenarios, it’s hard not to, I’m gonna do whatever they say and get through best I can

Chloe, where are the groups you mention, are they in the UK or US, apart from this one  and Oesophageal cancer and care givers on face book I can’t find any English ones. Xx

Are the groups UK or US I’ve joined a couple but there US, I can’t find a face book group in the UK. for just stomach cancer.

Sorry to jump on your post Jon, also sorry to hear there’s no operation, yes it’s sure a scary time but as been said there’s help on here and don’t forget about the Oesophagus and care givers UK on face book, it also includes the stomach and there a helpful bunch as well.

Hi Sue thank for kind words I’m trying to keep this off Facebook as not told many people yet just family, not all of them, and a few close friends I still trying hard to get my head around things

Jon there private groups that you have to join, no one apart from who’s in the group can see your post, plus you can also do it anonymously.

Still not heard from hospital, hopefully sometime next week, can’t plan anything till I know what’s going on , was planning on going into work but have been feeling so shit last few days , just want to know what I’m going to be doing, it’s the uncertainty of it all, trying to be positive but sometimes it’s hard 

Got oncology appointment thru today for the 7th, have arranged transport with my family and daughter is going with me, I think I’m pretty much prepared now for whatever comes my way, good or bad, I’ve found such strength from the support I have had from all work mates and family, I know I’m gonna get through this, happy new year everyone
