Following my first lot of chemo which I stopped at session 5 I developed tingling in my hand and feet. The palms of hands and bottom of feet are bright red and my fingers look like they have been in water for a long time. They seem to be numb and yet are like pins and needles and are icy cold to touch! Cannot fo buttons up or hold a pen or turn pages of newspaper easily, all very annoying! More so as I have began s new chemo treatment for my stomach cancer, I’m stage 4 and this treatment is palliative, which I seem to be responding to really well. Has anyone had this problem with hands and feet and how long did it last for?
I think this is a very common side effect of Oxaliplatin which is one of the drugs in FLOT and I also had in the chemo for bowel cancer. I suffered from numbness in my hands and feet and it’s worse when it’s cold! This article might be useful

Hopefully it will get better but asking for help and advice from the medical team might be useful.
