Hi all
my dad is due to start his first round of chemotherapy (FOLFOX) in a few weeks. Does anyone have any advice on managing side effects or what to take with them to chemotherapy to make it easier? He's also having a PICC line inserted.
Hi
I had my first treatment of Folfox on the 31st of July, I did have nausea and fatigue followed a couple of days later a mouth infection, for the nausea they will give you anti sickness tablets take them as for fatigue rest, for the mouth infection l got Nystatin from my own doctor, everyone is different so your dad may get different side effects but they should only last a few days, when he goes for treatment take a book or crossword or something as you are there for about 4 hours.
Hope all goes well
Keep in touch and let us know he gets on.
Joe
