I have had a lump for a while it has grown slowly over time.
hard like a golf ball and does not move
I have a scan on Wednesday has anyone else experienced this?

Hi and welcome to the community though sorry you have worry - well done for getting it checked out. Lumps and bumps are very common and sarcoma rather rare so it could be quite a range of things. I have all sorts of bumps - some more "wart" like some that come and go and others that are soft fluid cysts that when they cause issues can be drained or in extremes might be open for a surgical intervention.
You are doing the right thing getting it checked out and whatever the result I do hope you come back and let us know - if it is sarcoma we will be here with you and if not - well it is still something but your story will help others worried in a similar situation.

just an update of were I am at, had a MRI
the consultant said it was not a lipoma, he could not tell me what it was other then it was definitely in the muscle 3.5cm and he was sending my MRI results to a specialist Birmingham hospital,
Birmingham hospital phoned on Thursday Last week and I go into Birmingham hospital on Tuesday of this week, biopsy Will be taken Wednesday.
I expect I will not get the results until after Easter weekend
