isolated limb perfusion

Hi Jilly, I hope you’re well on the road to recovery. I’ve just been diagnosed with the fourth recurrence of STS in my thigh. One of the options being discussed is isolated limb perfusion. I would be incredibly grateful if you could pass on your experience of the procedure to help me better understand the way forward. Any help would be much appreciated.

Another treatment I had never even heard of until I looked it up here, amazing the techniques they can use now - thought not much use for my wife.

Thanks Steve, that is incredibly helpful and gives me a great understanding of the procedure. I just need to get my head around the survival benefits versus ongoing resections. There are downsides to both approaches and I guess ultimately I need to be guided by the MDT. I’ll get there!!
