Hello I'm back.Had the surgery to remove the BCC from my nose 3 days ago.surgery went well. They got all the cancer.I had a skin graft taken from behind ear and grafted to nose.I have a big bulky bandage on nose which will be taken off in a week .Have alot of stitches beside ear.I also have a nose tampon in nose to help support the graft. It has to stay a week also.Have had no pain at all.The only problem is the nose packing. It makes it so you cant breathe ,and makes it hard to sleep at night. When they put it in hurt more than the needles i had ,or anything else.It doesnt hurt now though. It's so hard to deal with for me.Has anyone had this and if so how did you cope.
Hi Ritaann
That's great to hear that your surgery went well and they are confident that they've got all of the cancer.
Having you nose packed does sound very unpleasant but it's not something I've experienced so I can't help with how to cope with it. However, having responded to you your post will be 'bumped' back to the top of the discussion list where hopefully it'll be seen by someone who's had this procedure.
