My BCC is 2.5cm large on my scalp and has a permanent scab. The lymph nodes in my right arm pit are painful - it's the same feeling as when I am fighting an infection, and I have been assuming it relates to the scab and fighting infection there. But now I am really scared that the cancer may have spread. I haven't had a biopsy yet and no one has checked my lymph nodes so I am really really scared. I am seeing the GP tomorrow and will ask them to check my lymph nodes, but I just wondered if anyone else has had painful lymph nodes when their BCC has a large scab.

Hi Latchbrook thanks for asking 
the GP was really nice and he thoroughly checked my lymph nodes and they all felt normal. I feel very relieved. He also said that I could organise wound care through the surgery even if I go privately. And he was happy to refer me to the private consultant in his NHS practice out of area. So it was a very helpful and reassuring appointment.
That all sounds really positive phenom. Are you going ahead with private surgery now?
