Hello! I have been diagnosed with a BCC on the top of my nose. I have been referred to a dermatologist for MOHS, but he doesn’t have a plastic surgeon in his office. From what I understand, for MOHS the dermatology usually work with a plastic surgeon to get the best results and minimise scarring. As I’m under private health insurance, I can choose my own clinic, but I really have no idea where to start. Has anyone had a favourable experience with a plastic surgeon / dermatologist in London that they wouldn’t mind sharing with me? I would definitely prefer to use a plastic surgeon for this, but Googling is just confusing me even more! Thanks in advance ..
Hi
It must be far trickier having to choose a Mohs surgeon and plastic surgeon for yourself rather than having the NHS decide for you.
I can't help with any recommendations but thought I'd suggest that if you type 'London' into the search bar in the group you could have a look through any posts it brings up to see if they mention private practices in that area of the country. I realise that's a bit of a long shot though.
Could you ask the Mohs surgeon that you were referred to for his recommendations? Otherwise I think the only thing you can do is look at the various private clinic websites that are near where you live and contact them with your requirements of a Mohs and plastic surgeon and see if they have that combination at their clinic.
Let us know how you get on

Thanks @latchbrook for your reply - that was helpful!
I have decided to go with Dr Niseth Sheth, at the Cadogan Clinic as he seems to have really great reviews from his MOHS clients (here and on a few other websites).
@Dawn53, do you mind if I ask who you saw at Guys? I've heard from a plastic surgeon friend, that the clinic at Guys is the best of the best in this field, so I bet you are in safe hands! Dr Sheth see NHS patients there too I believe.
Don't worry, I'm terrified too, but it really does sounds like you have a good team working with you :)
I actually had 4 members of staff in the consultation yesterday. Dermatologist, plastic surgeon, radiologist and 1 other. Sorry but I didn’t get all their names. Too much to take in. When is your procedure? If I opt for the surgery it’s a 3 month wait.
