Hello everyone, my name is Brian I was diagnosed with Intra ductal prostate cancer in 2018. I had my prostrate removed and 19 lymph nodes of which 9 were invaded with cancer. After subsequent radiotherapy and hormone deprivation therapy for 18 months my psa levels had reduced dramatically. However, when I started to reproduce testosterone my psa levels started to increase again and last year after a PSMA PET CT scan they found 3 tumours. I was given targeted radiotherapy to the tumours but this was unsuccessful I have started on Relugolix a gonadotropin releasing hormone antagonist which blocks the production of testosterone. Is there any recommended other treatments to work alongside this drug that you may be aware of or are being treated for. Many thanks, Brian.
Hello Both Brian's (Brian ) &Buzzers
Thanks Buzzers for bumping it back up.
Brian's question is one for his oncology team, the only others able to answer this question would be a Community member already on Relugolix and another treatment as we can't give medical advice, unless it's from personal experience.
The only other possible answer to the question would be to ask one of our qualified cancer nurses and here the link you need:
I hope this helps.
Best wishes - Brian (another one!)
