Hi Mandy (Quest 25 ), a horrible time waiting for tests and results. What you have told us so far is fairly good news. The biopsy will look to check how aggressive the cancer is. Once you have that, a plan will be made and hopefully in a few years he will be cured. It is very confusing but just drop us a note with any questions and we will do our best to help.
Best wishes, David
Please remember that I am not medically trained and the above are my personal views.
This is very similar to my situation last year. PSA 5.9, MRI showed something suspicious with a high probability of PC. Biopsy was then to confirm and grade it. I found my MRI results on my NHS app and interpreted them myself before having any phone call. That was a very odd situation. The waiting is always the worst, but as already written here, you’ve caught is early and the numbers are not bad, so you should have all sorts of options open!
Wishing you all the best!
