Hi Mark (Hammer. ) locally advanced but very curable. You are bound to be in turmoil at present but that will soon settle. RT generally nothing to worry about. HT likely to cause fatigue/hot flushes but generally ok. Ask anything as you go along. You can read others bio’s (where they have completed them) by clicking on their name or avatar.
Best wishes, David
Please remember that I am not medically trained and the above are my personal views.
Hello Mark (Hammer.)
All sounds good to me - I had 3 years Hormone Therapy along with Radiotherapy to the Prostate and Pelvic Lymph nodes - I had nearly every side effect going and some not listed but I am still here and feeling great.
You can read my journey bu clicking on my name or avatar but remember I had "other issues" along the way.
One thing you need to ask at your meeting next week is for a prescription for Calcium and Vitamin D Tablets as Hormone Therapy weakens your bone structure.
I wish you well moving forward, any questions ask away.
Best wishes - Brian.

Best wishes on your new HT adventure . Just remember to ask any question even if you think it’s not relevant.
My OH has been on HT for over a year and his main issues are loss of muscle tone, some hot flushes ED, and fatigue . He walks every day and goes to the gym at least twice a week more often 3 or 4 times. He is on Prostap 12 weekly injections . Abiraterone / prednisone / Adcal/ tamusolin daily and alendronic tonic acid every Wednesday.
all the best
Liz & OH xx
Hello Mark (Hammer.)
Think of it like this -
You take your first Bicalutamide tablet and that starts to work right away - the cancer is being deprived of it's food - Testosterone - Your PSA will be on it's way down from tomorrow.
Best wishes - Brian.
