I was diagnosed yesterday and my Gleason score was 3+4- I have opted for hormone therapy and then radiotherapy after I've spoken to an oncologist in 4 weeks.I am feeling quite overwhelmed as it's good news but bad news if you get me.
I'm not really sure how I should be feeling but
John,
I think I was lucky being diagnosed in the first lockdown, from my PSA levels being over 12 (as I was on 6 monthly checks), my appointments were quick, from seeing the specialist to MRI to biopsies to the diagnosis, all of this within a month.
I think living near the Freeman Hospital in Newcastle helped.
I know it's a bit of a travel but if you could get seen in the Freeman Hospital, they are one of the best in the UK.
