Just been diagnosed with Prostrate Cancer after an MRI Scan. Very worried.
Kind regards James.
I'm thinking of getting a plain tee shirt and embroidering a suitable slogan on it.
Although I can see through him, there's naff all I can do about it, just like all the pre cancer times when I've sussed him out lol
To be fair I've been guilty of fibbing myself, but I'm either better at it or he's more tolerant.
I think I had that Gleason score 19 then had a letter last week sayin it’s now 5 but that don’t stop cancer being there , my partners a nurse told me if I went to doc with score if 5 I would have just been sent home with anti biotics I was lucky it was up as high time u went for check up , so I’m thinking the lower the score the longer your going to wait , I’m expecting 2 months now to be operated but if they see a lower score may be put back , is that the only once your husband had a Gleason score
Hi Scottm
I think you are slightly confused between "Gleason Score" and "PSA". The Gleason Score is how aggressive your cancer is and is calculated from the prostate samples taken at a biopsy. The PSA - Prostate Specific Antigen is a blood test measuring a protein in your blood made by the prostate.
Does the above add some clarity to matters - If I can help any further please let me know.
Best wishes - Brian.

That sounds more like it Brian cheers mate yeah I’m deffo confused with it all , I don’t really take much in , which prob why it looks like I’m very positive, like being told I have cancer, not really registering but it will when I’m in hospital waiting to be operated on will do my worrying then
cheers
scott
Ha Ha! That's the attitude Scott.
On a serious note if we can help at all don't hesitate to post your questions - however trivial they may be. There are plenty of good people on here who have "been there done that".
I wish you well on your prostate journey - Brian.

Hi everyone
I got a phone call yesterday asking if I had my op appointment yet which I haven’t , but the phone call was for pelvic floor exercises and an email about the operation procedure does this mean that I’m about to be offered an op date now
thanks
Scott
Hi all I am having my biopsy on the 17th under GA and I have to go to Oldham for a Pre Op.at 2 30 PM. on the 12th. No Idea how long it takes to get there in a Taxi. The NHS are paying for it. They will be releasing me the same day after the Biopsy which I find a bit concerning as I had to stay in overnight after my Colonoscopy and I am having a GA. this time. at 7 30 AM.
Kind regards James.
