Just been diagnosed with Prostrate Cancer after an MRI Scan. Very worried.
Kind regards James.
Good morning Janes (Retrovanian)
Great news that you managed to get to hospital and let's hope the news is good. Remember Macmillan Nurses do not always signify cancer and they help out with dealing with scans and cancer prevention so it's not always "bad news",
I am so sorry to read about your fried, he is more than welcome to join us here - we have two forums that may interest him and give him support and these are:
Head and neck cancer forum and

I am still puzzled as to why all the pain I had been getting for weeks just suddenly stopped and has not come back. Then 1 day after I got one episode of blood in my urine then nothing for two weeks then another one episode blood. I am terrified of what the Cystoscopy will show. Could be Bladder cancer or If not that Kidney Cancer or the Ureterocele that they found last time in my Bladder where the tube comes in from 1 of my Kidney's has started to bleed or turned cancerous. I am so sorry to bother you all and am so grateful for your kindness, advice and encouragement you are giving to me. The bleeding seems to happen when I have been shopping at M&S for food. I am due out Monday morning again and am dreading coming back and finding more blood. It just seems so unfair that good and kind people get cancer and evil people seem to fly through life with no problems in my experience. The darker blood also worries me and I wonder if a Kidney stone can cause blood 2 or more weeks after the stone has passed.
Thank you so much.
Kind regards James.
Hello James (Retrovanian)
Thank you for your post. None of us here on the Community are medically trained, the bond that holds us together is Prostate Cancer. Some of us - me included found the Community to be a massive help in our time of need, and as we have continued on our personal journey continued to help others with less knowledge, as people have helped us in the past.
We do have a service for medical questions and if you wish to pose your question to one of our trained Macmillan nurses, then here's the link-
Please give them a couple of days to answer as they do get quite busy.
I am sure it can't just be your Monday morning trip to M&S that's causing the issue, the great thing is you are having the investigations to find out where the issue is. I would just look forward to doing your food shopping in the morning, leave Dr Google well alone and enjoy your hobbies - try and put your issues to the back of your mind. I know from personal experience waiting for tests and results isn't great but once you know what's going on - then at least you have a plan.
I know what you mean about good and evil people - however I wouldn't like to see anyone suffer no matter how bad they have been - we can all make mistakes - I often sing the song to myself "If I could turn back time"!.
Stick with us, you are doing great - a positive attitude is half the battle.
Best wishes - Brian.

Hi James . From knowing how my OH after passing kidney stones Yes . It’s normal to have small amounts of blood in your urine for a few days to a good few weeks after passing the kidney stones. just think of the damage the stone does passing as my OH was in agony and the strong pain relief administered didn’t hit the spot . Oucha
I also wonder if you are lifting heavy bags during your shopping trip.
take care
Liz
Just had the Cystoscopy and there is a problem in my Bladder. No CT Scan results yet. Got to have Biopsies on my Bladder now.
Kind regards James.
Hi Retrovanian , more waiting unfortunately. Sorry to hear that but hang on in there. David
Best wishes, David
Please remember that I am not medically trained and the above are my personal views.
Morning James, sorry you are on the waiting game . I feel your pain . Hopefully they get to the bottom of your bladder issues and then act quickly to deal with it .
we’re just heading to the hospital as OH is having the gold fiducials implanted into his prostrate this morning. We have been on the waiting game for what seems a long time ( diagnosed March) to get to this stage
best wishes

Hello James (Retrovanian )
A big WELL DONE for going to your appointments - I know it's difficult for you to attend them - but at least you now know that something is going on and the NHS are on your case.
Stick with it and keep us posted - just because it isn't your Prostate - we are your "prostate family" and you are one of us - and we look after our own.
Best wishes - Brian
